Job Title: Full-time Pharmacy Technician
Reports To: Pharmacist/Lead Technician

Pay based on combination of experience and education Classification: Full-time, Nonexempt

Hours: 30-40 hours to include evenings, weekends and some holidays.

Store hours: Monday-Friday 8A-8P,

Saturday 9a-6p, Sunday 10a-6p

General Description

  • Works under the supervision of the Lead Technician and Pharmacist on Duty.
  • Accurately and efficiently selects, counts, pours and labels medications for all new and refill prescriptions.
  • Routinely checks email, Escript, FAX machine and Telemanager for refills and other messages. Advises pharmacist when new prescriptions must be taken from Telemanager.
  • Manages inventory by ordering accurately and appropriately, per company policies and procedures.
  • Communicates in a friendly, patient and professional manner. Provides extraordinary customer service, at all times.
  • Presents a professional image via proper hygiene and grooming, as well as adherence to company dress code.
  • Fills in at other positions and performs duties, as needed or assigned (cashier, prescription input/billing, clean, take out trash, etc.).

Work Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of two years experience as a technician in a retail pharmacy preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for filling prescriptions, as well as a working knowledge of inventory control.
  • Must project a professional image and possess excellent communication skills.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Preferred.
  • Successful candidates must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
